However, the diamonds under $5500 don’t look nearly as good as the higher priced diamonds… even with the same grade on paper. • Also, many online diamond sellers use unconventional certs, like  IGI instead of GIA.  They use lower standards, even if they're using the same numbers and letters. So a diamond certified by IGI is worth much less than a GIA certified diamond. (see below)
